You own the technical truth across the customer life cycle. From RFQ qualification to post-sale integration, from feasibility filters to handover protocols: you design the standards, implement them, and hold them.
The Why
To end COPV failure in spaceflight. Technical precision doesn't start at the machine — it starts the moment a customer describes what they need. A clean, unambiguous, and technically valid deal is not a nice-to-have.
You ensure:
- Every customer interaction produces structured, engineering-ready outputs
- Sales-to-Engineering handovers are clean, complete, and require zero follow-up
- Unfeasible or out-of-scope opportunities are caught and resolved before they reach Engineering
- Customers receive fast, precise, and consistent technical guidance at every stage
- Own RFP/RFQ responses end-to-end: Qualify incoming requests, validate technical feasibility, and deliver structured proposals within defined turnaround targets → High Performance: Structured thinking at speed. Repeatable output, every time.
- Own the Sales-to-Engineering handover → Togetherness: One team. Zero information loss at the seam.
- Be the technical filter on the pipeline: Identify and kill — or redirect — opportunities that are technically unsound or out of scope before they consume Engineering bandwidth. → Candor: Say no early. Say it clearly. Document why.
- Serve as the primary technical contact across the customer lifecycle: Pre-sales feasibility, mid-deal alignment, and post-sale integration support. → Accountability: Own the outcome. No dropped balls, no post-sale surprises.
- Build reusable systems that scale → Playfulness: Build things that last because they're useful
